How to Work with Slot System and What It Is
You might have noticed some changes we introduced recently. You can see that some of your sites are not shown to buyers in the “Verified publishers” section.
However, you shouldn’t worry that something is wrong with your account or that you won’t receive tasks. Please read this article to understand how everything works and how to improve your performance.

Clients don’t see my sites in the “Verified publishers” or “All publishers” sections. Why?
Earlier, you could have noticed that there were lots of publishers ready to perform tasks for a site. The competition was mad!
Anyway, if you look at the same sites now, you’ll see that a palpably smaller number of publishers is available.
With this update, we decrease competition for one site and let you receive more orders for the platforms you have submitted.
If you work fairly and effectively for all of your listed sites, this update won’t change much for you. Vice versa - you will probably get more orders for your best-performing sites.
How does Adsy decide what publisher to show to buyers?
There is a special algorithm we use to complete a list of publishers for a site.
But basically, each site has six slots available and they will be distributed among six publishers.
How do we form and show the initial slots for a site?
- The publisher who added the website initially.
- Top publishers by the number of indexed links on this website.
- Top publishers by the number of completed tasks on this website.
So, if something from this list refers to you, be sure that buyers will find your name on the “Available performers for your task” page.
How can you increase the number of sites in your slots?
We’ve gathered some best practices that will help you get the slots more often.
- Perform all the tasks you get to keep your Completion rate metrics as high as possible.
- Keep your publisher’s rating high (you can check it here).
- Provide “Example of your works” for the sites you’ve listed.
- Add “Security deposit” to show that you are a trustworthy publisher.
How not to lose your slots
You won’t lose your available slots if:
- You keep the links on the placement sites live constantly or as long as you’ve discussed it with a client. Track how you’re doing by looking at the Avg lifetime of links metric on your publisher’s page.
- You keep your prices up-to-date, place content on the listed sites, and overall stick to the buyer’s requirements. Track how you’re doing by looking at the Tasks with Initial Domain & Price metric on your publisher’s page.
- You choose the correct options for task rejects.
Your best strategy to ensure you are in slots and buyers see your sites
If you want to ensure your sites are shown to buyers, and you are among the available performers, do the next thing:
- Add unique sites where you can place guest posts. (You can look through the current Adsy inventory to understand what we have and also use a Demand map.)
- Keep your list of sites in the current status and perform the incoming tasks. Slots are based on the “live” algorithm. So, if some performers do not fulfill obligations, you can replace them in the list of available publishers.
- Make clear requirements for your sites, and stick to the placement conditions.
Keep doing a great job, add rare and quality sites, and you will most probably be among the available performers for the websites.
Why did we introduce the slot system?
You might be upset if you cannot find your name among the publishers for some sites. And you don’t understand why do you even need this system on Adsy.
But the slot system is aimed at:
- Providing better competition conditions for publishers - we show performers who can really complete the tasks, so if you are a fair player, you can be visible to buyers and get even more tasks (because fewer options for one site are shown)!
- Shifting a focus towards providing services on unique and rare sites rather than adding more platforms already existing on Adsy,
- Better quality control and more precise publisher’s rating. Once again, if you are a fair player - you have nothing to worry about.
That said, even if your name disappears from some sites, the number of tasks for other sites where you are still present can grow and secure you with more income.
Will buyers see my sites after all?
Even if you don’t appear for some sites, buyers will still be able to work with you.
Keep up the good work so that buyers remember you. Then, they can order directly from your publisher's page by:
- clicking your name,
- going to your profile,
- pressing the “View all sites” button.
These simple actions will allow buyers to work with you directly.
