GDPR Privacy Notice Supplement (EU / EEA Residents)

This GDPR Supplement applies to users located in the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) and is intended to clarify specific data protection obligations and user rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), where additional detail is required beyond our main Privacy Policy.

1. EU Representative and DPO (if applicable)

Why this matters: If you live in the EU/EEA, GDPR requires us to provide a local contact point for data-related inquiries.

While our primary controller is Invise Inc. (United States), we may designate an EU-based representative or a Data Protection Officer (DPO) as required by Article 27 and Article 37 of the GDPR. Contact details will be made available here if appointed.

2. International Data Transfers (Enhanced Detail)

Why this matters: If your data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, GDPR requires us to ensure it is protected with appropriate safeguards.

Personal data transferred outside the EU/EEA is subject to appropriate safeguards in line with Chapter V of the GDPR. This includes:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
  • Organizational and technical measures ensuring equivalent protection
  • Where appropriate, supplemental risk assessments (DPIAs) for high-risk transfers

You can request more information on these safeguards by emailing contact@adsy.com.

3. Special Categories of Data

Why this matters: GDPR requires special treatment for highly sensitive data such as health or biometric data.

We do not collect special categories of personal data (as defined in GDPR Article 9), such as health data, political opinions, or biometric identifiers. If such data is ever requested, we will obtain your explicit consent before processing it.

4. Profiling and Automated Decision-Making

Why this matters: GDPR grants you the right to know if we use automated decision-making that significantly affects you.

Adsy does not engage in fully automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects as outlined in Article 22. Any use of profiling (e.g., interest-based content suggestions) is non-intrusive, based on your behavior on the platform, and justified by legitimate interests or consent.

5. Right to Lodge a Complaint

Why this matters: You have the right to escalate concerns to your national data protection authority if you believe your rights were violated.

In addition to contacting us at contact@adsy.com, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority if you believe your rights under GDPR have been violated.

A list of supervisory authorities is available here: https://edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/board/members_en.

6. Cookie Usage and Consent

Why this matters: It gives you control over cookies and your personal data in the EU/EEA.

Where we use cookies or similar technologies that process personal data of EU/EEA residents, we obtain explicit consent before setting non-essential cookies, in accordance with the ePrivacy Directive and Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. For more, see our Cookie Policy.
